1) The picture is a reading light. It has a lever to clip the book so it will not fall off. 

2) The second picture is a dust bin that has a linkage to connect to the cover of the rubbish bin so when you step on it the cover will open. 

3) The third picture is a linkage to hold the shelf door open without closing so it is better for people to take things. \
